FOCUS 

Amarillo Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1962 with 12 dedicated and determined women . We are truly a sisterhood of dynamic Deltas devoted to scholarship and service. We promote academic excellence and build leadership skills in the young people of our community through our Delta Youth Group. Through our annual Wellness Program, we present educational programs to our community on making choices that promote a healthy life style such as quitting smoking, getting annual medical exams, having a healthy diet and exercising. We support many existing programs within our community by serving on various boards and committees. It has been said, “anywhere you go in Amarillo, you find a Delta working.” 

GOAL  

Our chapter goal is to implement as well as support existing quality of life programs under the umbrella of Delta Sigma Theta’s Five-Point Program Thrust:

• Educational Development    
• Physical and Mental Health        
• International Awareness and Involvement         
• Political Awareness and Involvement              
• Economic Development
